I'm Alex Darkfell, a writer with a passion for writing dark fantasy, historical fiction and sci-fi. My work spans short stories, flash fiction, and I’m currently working on my first novella—a journey that dives deep into realms both dark and wondrous. From haunted forests to ancient ruins, I craft stories that explore the human condition through the lens of the supernatural and the fantastical.

I was born in London but but now live in the historic town of Amesbury, England, a place rich with ancient history and folklore. Living near Stonehenge, with its air of mystery, is fuelling my imagination, inspiring much of the mythological and legendary elements in my writing. The power of old stories—of gods, monsters, and heroes—speaks to me, and I strive to reflect that in the worlds I create.

I’m a husband, a father to two young boys, and the owner of a bouncy labradoodle named Sonic. These roles ground me, offer me a perspective that shapes the themes I return to time and again—of love, loss, and the fragility of time itself. In the quiet moments between storytelling and family life, I find the inspiration to create.
